Makes 14 pieces



1 (350 g.) block extra-firm tofu
2 ½ Tbsp. Worcestervegan sauce
1 ½ Tbsp. soy sauce
1 ½ Tbsp. maple syrup
1 ½ tsp. smoked paprika
1 tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. pepper


Wrap the tofu in a few layers of paper towel, set on a plate and weight down with something heavy for 30 minutes.

In the meantime, in a resealable container, combine remaining ingredients.

Unwrap the tofu and slice into ¼” slices. Place in the container with the marinade and allow to marinate in the refrigerator at least one hour and up to overnight.

Preheat oven to lowest temperature, 150F-200°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place the marinated tofu slices on the parchment and bake for 3 to 5 hours, until they are dark brown, dry and slightly shrunken.

Allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container for up to one month.
